Happy Valentine's Day!

Sophia celebrated her first Valentine's Day today. No chocolate this year... maybe next. :)

Sophia's first rose...



After we convinced her she wasn't suppose to eat the rose, the few petals she pulled off proved pretty entertaining. Hope you have a great Valentine's Day!

Ten Months!

Our ten month old...

- loves bananas, hates split peas

- walks from place to place, crawls only when necessary

- jumps up and down in her crib when we come into her room, throws herself on the ground when she's mad

- is terrified of the purple vaccuum cleaner, loves the broom

- thinks the cat is hilarious

- sounds like she's hyperventilating when she laughs

- loves playing in the tub, gasps when she splashes water in her face

- talks whenever Hank prays, grins while we say grace, loves eating Cheerios during church

- enjoys standing over air vents and watching her dresses expand

- loves to be tickled, hates holding still for a diaper change

- comes "running" to the kitchen when she hears the dishwasher opening

- has four teeth, loves to bite graham crackers

-"helps" fold laundry by throwing everything out of the basket

- dances when she hears music, waves when we put on our coats, claps when she shares her toys

- grins at everyone in the grocery store, refuses to sit facing forward in the cart for more than 10 minutes

- knows where to find her pacifiers, only uses her thumb when she's desperate

- loves to read books, prefers to hold the book herself

- waves the remote at the television, types on the keyboard, but won't talk on the phone

- may be a Jayhawk at heart, but still loves the color purple

is growing up so fast!
